We are a small but diverse group of riders covering every category of cycling from downhill mountain biking to road racing. Some of us ride to keep fit and socialize; while others are driven by competition. whether we’re doing a gravel race, group ride, or poker run it ends with friends. Newtype athletes are the next wave of cyclists in the Carolinas. We are bringing fresh energy back into the scene and using it to build community, spark adventures and fuel racing.

Each year, the LoveYourBrain Foundation hosts the Ride for Resilience - a one-of-a-kind fundraising and community-building event just for bikers and cyclists. LoveYourBrain is the leading organization supporting people affected by traumatic brain injury (TBI) through free yoga, mindfulness, and education programs, and the Ride for Resilience supports their work to create access, skills, science, and advocacy for the brain injury community worldwide.
